Airsoft Nozzle Spring: POTENCY TRHUST LITE vs Reinforced TRHUST – Gearbox V2 V3 Guide

POTENCY® TRHUST LITE vs Reinforced TRHUST Nozzle Spring

Technical guide to choosing the right nozzle spring (Gearbox V2 / V3)

In the world of high-performance AEG replicas, every detail of the mechanical cycle matters. The nozzle spring is one of those components that is often underestimated, yet essential to ensure consistent FPS, smooth feeding and reliability at high RPS.

In this article we analyze the differences between:

Both are compatible with standard Gearbox V2 and V3, but are designed for different uses and configurations.

POTENCY® TRHUST LITE

The TRHUST LITE is the lightweight version of the nozzle spring, designed for High Speed configurations up to about 35 RPS.

Why was the LITE version developed?

In high cycle speed setups it is essential to:

  • Improve the quick return of the nozzle
  • Maintain maximum mechanical smoothness
  • Avoid excessive loads on the tappet plate and sector gear

Compared to the Reinforced TRHUST, the LITE version has lower but optimized stiffness, enough to counter the magazine pressure without making the mechanical cycle excessively rigid.

⚠ Not suitable for DSG configurations.

What is Midcap Syndrome?

Midcap syndrome occurs when a fully loaded midcap magazine exerts strong upward pressure on the BB column.

This can cause:

  • FPS inconsistencies
  • Intermittent feeding
  • Abnormal friction on the nozzle
  • Slight nozzle misalignment (nozzle lift)

If the nozzle spring is too weak, it cannot counter this pressure, compromising the consistency of the cycle.

The TRHUST LITE is designed to solve mild or moderate midcap syndrome situations while maintaining maximum system smoothness.

When to choose TRHUST LITE

  • High Speed configurations up to 35 RPS
  • Mild or moderate feeding issues
  • Need to improve feeding without making the cycle too rigid
  • Not recommended for DSG configurations

Technical specifications

  • Material: High elasticity stainless steel
  • Compatibility: Standard Gearbox V2 / V3
  • Contents: Spring only
  • ⚠ Installation recommended for experienced users

POTENCY® TRHUST – Reinforced Version

The Reinforced TRHUST is the version developed for more extreme configurations, including builds such as:

  • DSG (Dual Sector Gear)
  • Extreme High Speed
  • Setups with very high RPS

Thanks to its higher stiffness, it ensures a fast and consistent nozzle return even under strong magazine pressure, maintaining a stable feeding phase.

When to choose the Reinforced TRHUST

  • DSG configurations
  • ✅ Very high RPS
  • ✅ Severe midcap syndrome
  • ✅ Evident nozzle lift issues

Technical specifications

  • Material: High-strength stainless steel with surface treatment
  • Compatibility: Standard Gearbox V2 / V3
  • Contents: Spring only

Differences between TRHUST LITE and Reinforced TRHUST

Model Stiffness Usage DSG
TRHUST LITE Medium High Speed up to 35 RPS No
Reinforced TRHUST High Extreme High Speed / DSG Yes

Which one should you choose for your build?

  • If you are working on a smooth and balanced High Speed setup, the TRHUST LITE is the ideal choice.
  • If you have a DSG build or an extremely aggressive setup, the Reinforced TRHUST is required to ensure stability and consistency.

Choosing the right nozzle spring can make the difference between a fast replica and a fast replica that is also reliable and consistent over time.
